We all know that the operation process of a die-cutting machine is very important in the die-cutting process. The correctness of the operating steps directly affects the efficiency and product quality of the die-cutting machine. In serious cases, it may even cause safety hazards. The damage to machine parts is minor, but accidents involving personal safety are significant! Therefore, the work steps of the entire die-cutting operation process are crucial. Let me share with you the eight steps of the die-cutting process for a die-cutting machine!
PART
01 Die Mounting
Firstly, compare the die with the sample or drawing to see if it is suitable. Check the sharpness of the steel blade and whether there are any gaps. Verify if the steel blade aligns with the drawn steel wire and if the cutting lines for holes and slots use the whole blade or require rounded or right-angled corners. Ensure that the interface between the two ends of the steel blade is tightly connected for waste removal purposes. Check for any sharp corners at the ends of the steel blade interface. If there are any issues with the die, it should be promptly corrected or replaced to ensure the quality of die-cutting.
PART
02 Placing the Base Plate
Because most punch presses have a flat-press-flat structure with a solid iron material under the punch, a base plate is generally placed for easy mold adjustment.
PART
03 Adjusting the Pressure
After the base plate is placed, the pressure can be adjusted. Start the machine and perform a few trial punchings to flatten the steel blade. If there is a difference in the imprints on both sides of the base plate, adjust the pressure or add/remove cushioning layers to make the blade pressure consistent. Also, make sure the die-cutting position is centered to increase speed.
PART
04 Trial Punching and Die-Cutting
After completing the above steps, perform trial punching and die-cutting on a few products and samples for comparison. Check for any burrs or other issues. Once everything is verified, proceed with mass production.
PART
05 Die-Cutting Positioning
Confirming the above steps, position the material for future production and processing convenience.
PART
06 Formal Die-Cutting
Formal die-cutting does not guarantee that problems won't occur. Regular inspections should be conducted to identify and solve issues promptly.
PART
07 Waste Removal
This step is essential to keep the die-cutting machine clean.
PART
08 Final Product Inspection
Inspect a sample of the finished products to ensure there are no issues.
